The moving die rheometer technique (MDR) is used to measure the elastic and viscous components. The analysis of the rheometry and the kinetic modeling are used to obtain a mathematical model of viscosity as a function of the temperature, the time and the degree of curing to predict the kinetic and viscous behavior that allows the control, the optimization and the design of the process. depending on the properties of the material. The phenomenological model of Kamal-Sourour is used to model the curing kinetics, while the Carreau-Macosko model is used to model the viscous behavior. The non-linear regression is used to find the parameters of the models. The model proposed as a function of the maximum speed of the reactions is illustrated in the context of an ethylene, propylene, industrial-type EPDM diene elastomer compound that includes chemical agents as additives for processing, the mathematical model is obtained in a consistent manner, validating the proposed methodology to apply to any thermosetting or elastomeric resin.
